Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using RocketHockey. By using our Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RocketHockey ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service, including organization administrators, league managers, team managers, players, and spectators.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Description of Service

RocketHockey is a cloud-based hockey league management platform that provides:

Core Features: - Schedule generation and management - Live game scoring and statistics tracking - Team and player roster management - Online registration with payment processing - Public league websites with standings and stats - Team communication tools

Subscription Tiers: - **League** ($25/month or $250/year): Full features for single league management - **League Pro** ($75/month or $750/year): Multiple leagues with custom domains and API access

The Service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time with reasonable notice.

User Accounts

Account Creation: To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account information updated.

Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

Organization Accounts: Organization administrators are responsible for managing user access within their organization and ensuring compliance with these Terms by all organization members.

Account Termination: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for other reasons at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

Data Upon Termination: When your account is terminated, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy. Organization administrators should export necessary data before account deletion.

Payments and Billing

Subscription Billing: Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

Payment Processing: Payments are processed through Stripe. By providing payment information, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

Plan Options: We offer League and League Pro subscription plans. All plans include core features. See our pricing page for current plan details and pricing.

Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

Refunds: Subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by law. If you cancel, you retain access until the end of your current billing period.

Registration Payments: Organizations using our registration payment features are responsible for their own refund policies with their registrants. Platform fees are non-refundable.

Failed Payments: If a payment fails, we will attempt to charge your payment method again. After multiple failures, your subscription may be suspended.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

Content Restrictions: - Post illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or discriminatory content - Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful software - Impersonate another person or organization - Share false or misleading information

Service Restrictions: - Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts - Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission - Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers - Circumvent usage limits or access restrictions - Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

Commercial Restrictions: - Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization - Use the Service to compete directly with RocketHockey - Harvest user data for unauthorized purposes

User Content

Your Content: You retain ownership of content you upload to the Service (rosters, statistics, announcements, etc.). By uploading content, you grant us a license to use, store, and display it to provide the Service.

Content Responsibility: You are solely responsible for content you upload. You represent that you have the right to share any content you upload and that it does not violate any third party's rights.

Content Moderation: We may remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, at our discretion.

Data Accuracy: Organization administrators are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of player information, statistics, and other data entered into the system.

Public Content: Content on public league pages (schedules, standings, statistics) is visible to anyone. Do not include private information in public-facing content.

Intellectual Property

Our Intellectual Property: The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by RocketHockey and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Trademarks: "RocketHockey" and our logo are trademarks. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.

Your License: Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your internal business purposes.

Feedback: If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Service, we may use them without obligation to you.

Limitation of Liability

Disclaimer of Warranties: THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

Limitation of Liability: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROCKETHOCKEY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

Cap on Liability: OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Exceptions: Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of implied warranties or liability for certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RocketHockey from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Termination

By You: You may stop using the Service at any time. Organization owners may delete their organization account through the settings page.

By Us: We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

Effect of Termination: Upon termination: - Your right to use the Service ceases immediately - We may delete your data after a reasonable retention period - Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect (including limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution)

Data Export: We recommend exporting your data before terminating your account. Contact support@rockethockey.app for assistance with data export.

Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Informal Resolution: Before filing any legal claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@rockethockey.app. We will try to resolve the dispute within 60 days.

Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except for claims that qualify for small claims court. The arbitration will be conducted by JAMS under its rules.

Class Action Waiver: YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.

Exceptions: Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement or other urgent matters.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:

  • We will post the updated Terms on this page
  • We will update the "Last updated" date
  • For material changes, we will provide notice via email or through the Service

Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.
