Branding & Website
Build a professional league website with your own domain, logo, and branding. Customize every page to match your league identity.
Custom Domain Setup
- Navigate to Organization Settings > Branding > Custom Domain to begin connecting your own domain.
- Enter your desired domain name (e.g., myleague.com) and RocketHockey will generate the DNS records you need.
- Log in to your domain registrar and add the provided CNAME or A records to your DNS settings.
- Return to RocketHockey and click "Verify Domain" — verification typically completes within minutes but can take up to 24 hours.
- Once verified, your league website is automatically served on your custom domain with a free SSL certificate.
Pro tip: If you do not own a domain yet, popular registrars like Namecheap, Google Domains, or GoDaddy make it easy to purchase one for around $10-15/year.
Logo & Branding
- Upload your league logo under Organization Settings > Branding > Logo. PNG or SVG format is recommended at 512x512 pixels or larger.
- Set your primary and secondary brand colors using the color picker or by entering hex codes.
- Your logo and colors are applied across the public website, emails, registration pages, and player-facing screens.
- Upload a favicon (the small icon shown in browser tabs) for a polished, professional appearance.
- Preview your branding changes in real time before saving to make sure everything looks right.
Pro tip: Use a transparent-background PNG for your logo so it blends seamlessly with both light and dark sections of your site.
Public Site Customization
- Customize your league's public homepage with a hero banner, welcome message, and featured content.
- Add custom pages for league rules, rink information, contact details, or sponsor recognition.
- Configure which sections appear on the homepage: upcoming games, recent scores, standings, or news.
- Add sponsor logos and links to a dedicated sponsor bar that appears on every page.
- Edit the footer with your league's contact information, social media links, and important links.
Pro tip: Add a "New Players" page with information about joining your league — it is a great way to attract new registrations from organic search traffic.
Schedule & Standings Pages
- Your public schedule page is automatically generated from your season data and stays up to date in real time.
- Customize the schedule view to show as a list, calendar, or card layout depending on your preference.
- Standings pages display team rankings with the columns you choose: wins, losses, ties, points, goal differential, and more.
- Filter standings by division or conference if your league has multiple groupings.
- Add a "Last Updated" timestamp so visitors know the data is current.
Pro tip: Enable the "Live Scores" badge on your schedule page so players can see which games are currently in progress.
Mobile Appearance
- All league websites are fully responsive — schedules, standings, and rosters automatically adapt to any screen size.
- Test your league site on mobile using the built-in device preview tool under Branding > Preview.
- Mobile users see a streamlined navigation menu optimized for touch interactions.
- Game details, scores, and player stats are formatted for easy reading on smaller screens.
- Push players to bookmark your league site on their phone home screen for quick, app-like access.
Pro tip: Share your league website link in team group chats so players can easily save it to their phone home screens.
